Comic is a form of static visual narrative that conveys stories through the modalities of image and text primarily. Scholars have fundamentally given importance to the image text dichotomy appearing in comics. While the two modalities have garnered most scholarly attention, the third modality of sound has received minor significance in academic studies. Printed comics are silent medium of storytelling that requires deliberate designing of each visual element in order to provide the reader a richer multi model experience.en_US
