Detection, localization and sizing of a structural flaw a beam based on vibration measurements

Abstract

An identification algorithm is developed in order to detect, locate and quantify a structural flaw in a beam based on vibration measurements. the algorithm gives the flaw flexibility and damping as a by-product and has potential to detect no flaw condition.
