Design of Scalable Integrated Electrocoagulation-based Water and Wastewater Treatment Unit

Abstract

Water scarcity and pollution pose significant global challenges, particularly in India, where over 65 million people, including 6 million children, are affected by high fluoride levels in groundwater across 177 districts. Assam is particularly impacted, with 23 of its 32 districts facing severe health risks from contaminated water sources. Compounding this issue are oily effluents from oil drilling activities in areas such as Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, and Sivasagar, highlighting the urgent need for innovative solutions to address water quality and resource management.
